RED HORSE Council recognizes Means
Lt. Col. Joseph Swaim, the deputy commander of the 307th RED HORSE Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., presents a squadron ball cap to retired Chief Master Sgt. Jesse Means during a luncheon at the Barksdale Club on Aug. 25, 2011. The RED HORSE Council recognized Means for his contributions to the RED HORSE community. He was the first person assigned to RED HORSE at Barksdale in the early 1970s, and was placed in charge of recruiting people into the newly established RED HORSE Squadron. Means was instrumental in the creation of the existing RED HORSE compound at Barksdale, and throughout the years has been a strong supporter of RED HORSE and an advocate for the importance of the squadron’s mission.
