Civic leaders see innovations during 307th Bomb Wing tour

Rocky Rockett, Greater Bossier Economic Development Foundation executive director, performs a straw rocket experiment at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, May 26, 2021. He and several other civic leaders were taking part in a tour of the 307th Bomb Wing. The straw rocket experiment is part of DoD STARBASE Lousiana’s 5th grade curriculum that intergrates science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) into learning experiences for local students. STARBASE uses cutting-edge technology to help foster growth in student’s critical thinking, scientific literacy, communication and problem solving skills.
