Naval Sink Mines
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Kerry Kessler, 49th Test and Evaluation Squadron munitions technician, eyes the placement of a naval mine as it is prepared for calibration at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, Jan.16, 2020. A new nose piece for the mines was being prepared for testing to determine if it helped with greater accuracy with placement when dropped from a B-52 Stratofortress. Current mine technology causes them to waver after hitting the water. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt. Ted Daigle)
