STARBASE visits munitions shop
STARBASE Louisiana students visited the 307th Maintenance Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Oct. 9, 2019. Members of the unit taught them about the different weapons systems used on the B-52 Stratofortress. They emphasized the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math in the development, use and mainteance of the systems. STARBASE Louisiana at Barksdale AFB is a Department of Defense program sponsored by the 307th Bomb Wing. The program serves to immerse students in STEM through practical application of its principles and by giving them access to people who use them in their jobs. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
