Clearing the way
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialist with the 307th Civil Engineering Squadron pulls on a cord to try and safely disarm a mock Improvised Explosive Device during an exercise at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., February 10, 2018. The hook at the end of the cord was placed around the wires of the IED allowing the Reserve Citizen Airman to simulate safe detonation. The routine training allows 307th EOD specialists to maintain and sharpen skills necessary to be proficient in their career fields. (U.S. Air Force photo by Technical Sgt. Cody Burt/Released)
