Ample Strike 2017 - Maintainers make the mission

Two Airmen from the 489th Bomb Group begin to look over a B-1B Lancer after its return to Royal Air Force Fairford, United Kingdom, Sept. 17, 2017. The jet had just returned after completing a mission for Ample Strike 2017, a Czech Republic-led live fire exercise that offers advance Air/Land Integration training to Forward Air Controllers, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers and Close Air Support aircrews. After each mission, multiple Airmen inspect, repair and gather data from the B-1 to detect any potential problems or damage that may have occurred in flight. (U.S. Air Force photo by Master Sgt.
