Ample Strike Rolls On, Second B-52 Arrives

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Mike Guderyon, 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron aircraft structural maintainer, checks a B-52 Stratofortress for wear and tear after its trans-atlantic flight from Barksdale Air Force Base, La. to Royal Air Force Fairford, U.K., Sep. 1, 2017. The jet is participating in exercise Ample Strike 2017, a Czech Republic-led live-fire exercise that offers advanced Air/Land Integration training to Forward Air Controllers, Joint Terminal Attack Controllers and Close Air Support aircrews. The exercise also gives U.S. forces an opportunity to train with their NATO allies and partners while also utilizing the total force integration model in the European theater.
