307th Bomb Wing 75th Anniversary and Awards Gala

Col. Bruce R. Cox, 307th Bomb Wing commander, presents Earl McGuier, World War II 307th Bombardment Group veteran, with a Commander’s Coin during the 307th Bomb Wing’s 75th Anniversary and Awards Gala at the Shreveport Convention Center April 1, 2017. In 1942, 27 B-24 Liberators from the 307th Bombardment Group took part in one of the longest mass-raids of that era which earned them the name “The Long Rangers.” The now, 307th Bomb Wing celebrated their 75th Anniversary with alumni from wars such as World War II, Korean War, Vietnam and Operation Inherent Resolve.
