An Uplifting Exercise
Airmen pressurize aircraft lifting airbags during an exercise on a B-52 Stratofortress at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 16, 2017. The bags are used when an aircraft must be lifted up due to broken landing gear. Although, such exercises are fairly frequent in the Air Force, one has not been performed on a B-52 since 1984. The jet used for this exercise is scheduled for demolition this year, as it has been inoperable since an accidental maintenance fire two years ago. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt.
