An Uplifting Exercise
A giant jack is placed in position on a B-52 Stratofortress during a bag lift exercise at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 16, 2017. Supporting the tail of the jet was critical to ensure safety during the exercise. Bag lifts are performed on aircraft rendered immobile due to faulty landing gear. This was the first such exercise attempted with a B-52 since 1984. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Ted Daigle/Released)
