End of an era
Lieutenant Colonel Leo J. Kamphaus, Jr., 307th Maintenance Group commander, high-fives Olivia Ahbol after the retirement ceremony for her father, retired Senior Master Sergeant Rob Ahbol, at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Feb. 11, 2017. Ahbol served as the communications flight superintendent for both the 917th Wing and the 307th Bomb Wing. While still an Aerospace Ground Equipment mechanic with the 917th Wing, he created the Smart Pay Tracking System. In doing so, he helped the wing win its second Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award.
