Korean veterans honored
U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Shelley Cohen, 307th Bomb Wing command chief, greets a veteran of The Battle of Chosin Reservoir Dec. 22, 2016 at Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Cohen and Col. James Morriss III, 307th BW vice-commander, were on hand at a luncheon honoring the veterans. The luncheon was part of a week-long slate of events sponsored by the Independence Bowl Foundation to honor the veterans. The Battle of Chosin Reservoir, fought during the Korean conflict, saw vastly outnumbered American troops fight their way to safety against enemy forces through temperatures as low as -34 Fahrenheit.
