Korean veterans honored
Veterans of the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir enjoy a standing ovation from the crowd at the Camping World Independence Bowl Dec. 26th, 2017 in Shreveport, La. Members of the 307th Bomb Wing and 2nd Bomb Wing were on hand to congratulate the veterans for receiving the Omar Bradley Spirit of Independence Award. The Battle of the Chosin Reservoir, fought during the Korean conflict, saw American troops fight off numerically superior enemy forces. In doing so, they changed the course of the conflict, allowing United Nations troops to keep a foothold on the Korean peninsula. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Ted Daigle/Released)
