STARBASE Louisiana graduates 1,000th class

Mayor Ollie Tyler, of Shreveport, La., congratulates a graduate of the 1,000th STARBASE Louisiana class at Judson Fundamental Elementary Magnet School in Shreveport, La. on May 19, 2016. The STARBASE program provides a 25-hour hands-on minds-on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) curriculum to area fifth-grade students and their teachers.
