The 489th Bomb Group Reactivates after 70 years
On Oct. 17, 2015, at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, an audience of military members dating back to World War II gathers to witness the reactivation of the 489th Bomb Group. The 489th was reactivated 70 years to the day of its inactivation. The WW II members of the 489th showed their support for their legacy unit by rallying at the reactivation.
