307th Bomb WIng Commander plays with fire
U.S. Air Force Col. Bruce Cox, commander of the 307th Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., gets assistance in removing firefighting gear after taking part in a burning aircraft exercise with the 307th Civil Engineer Squadron firefighters during the May Unit Training Assembly. The firefighters instructed the commander on how to handle a hose to extinguish a fire on an aircraft fire training simulator. Barksdale Air Force Base is one of the bases equipped with an aircraft fire training simulator allowing firefighters to recreate different emergency scenarios without burning up an aircraft every time they practice.
