Encouraging future aviators
A future aviator checks his headset and microphone in preparation to fly with the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Local Chapter 343 Young Eagles program at the Shreveport Downtown Airport in Louisiana on April 11, 2015. The Experimental Aircraft Association includes members that are active duty and reservists assigned to near-by Barksdale Air Force Base. Their Young Eagles program gives young people, ages 8-17, interested in general aviation an opportunity learn about flight planning, flight safety and the basics of flying an general aviation aircraft.
