Exercise Polar Growl takes off
Two B-52 Stratofortress’ from the 2nd Bomb Wing take off in support of Exercise “Polar Growl” from Barksdale Air Force Base, La. on April 1, 2015. These aircraft will conduct simultaneous, long-range sorties from Barksdale to the Arctic and North Sea regions. Aircrew from the 2nd Bomb Wing and 307th Bomb Wing both participated in this exercise that supports the Nation’s ability to maintain a strong, credible bomber force that enhances and provides for the security and stability of our Allies and partners.
