Exercise Polar Growl takes off
2nd Bomb Wing maintenance personnel ready a B-52 Stratofortress named the “Phoenix” at Barksdale Air Force Base, La, for flight in participation in the Total Force Integration mission “Polar Growl”. These exercises are conducted in coordination with Geographic Combatant Commands, military services, and agencies to deter strategic attacks against the U.S. and its Allies and partners.
