Brig. Gen. Scobee visits the 307th BW
U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Walther Lachney, 307th Maintenance Squadron technician, explains the phase process of a B-52H Stratofortress to Brig. Gen. Richard Scobee, 10th Air Force commander, during a tour on Dec. 6, 2014, Barksdale Air Force Base, La. Lachney explained the process is essentially an overhaul of the plane in which every system of the jet is thoroughly examined and maintained. Scobee presented Lachney with a 10th AF coin for his role in cutting operational check time on the B-52 and winning the 307th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Maintenance Technician of the Year.
