Chaplain Candidates visit Barksdale

U.S. Air Force Chaplain Candidate 2nd Lt. Iraida Alvarez climbs into the cockpit of a B-52 Stratofortress at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Aug. 2, 2013. Alvarez took part in the Chaplain Candidate Intensive Internship, which gives its participants a broad overview of the Air Force. The 27 candidates in the program learned during the B-52 about the stresses and demand flight crews endure, including extended combat missions and strenuous training flights. By gaining such a perspective, the candidates can learn how to better serve flight crews in the Air Force. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Ted Daigle/Released)
