Appointment letter sparks celebration

Technical Sgt. Robert Hall and his daughter Jordan Elizabeth Hall knock out two celebrations in one at the 47th Fighter Squadron building May 3, 2009. The Hall family and their guests celebrated both Jordan’s 18th birthday and her appointment letter to the U.S. Air Force Academy. At the age of 12, Jordan decided she wanted to fly the A-10 after a family visit to Hog Smoke 04 in Alexandria, La. She spent four years in the JROTC and time in the Civil Air Patrol preparing to reach her ultimate goal of flying the A-10 Thunderbolt. Jordan graduated from high school in March and reports to the U.S. Air Force Academy on June 25, 2009. Sergeant Hall has been a member of the 917th Wing, 47th FS since September 1997.
