Historical Display Case
Mike Jarrett, 2nd Force Support Squadron, woodcraft manager, prepares the last section of a trophy case for shipment at the Wood Hobby Shop at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 15, 2009. The trophy case, which is 24 feet long and 90 inches tall, is destined for the 917th Wing Headquarters building where it will display historical items for visitors to the 917th Wing. Construction on the case started in November 2008, but due to the overwhelming demand for retirement cases it has taken longer than expected to finish the project. Mr. Jarrett plans to have the trophy case completely installed in the 917th Headquarters building by the end of the week. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
