STARBASE
Lt. Col. Al Ringle, 93rd Bomb Squadron, instructor radar navigator, explains the payload capabilities of the B-52 Stratofortress bomb bay to 5th graders in the STARBASE Louisiana program at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., June 16, 2009. The local program, which is one of 60 national STARBASE sites, is sponsored by the 917th Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command at Barksdale AFB. The program presents an exciting 25-hour hands on/minds on aviation and aerospace curriculum to area 5th grade students and their teachers.
