JROTC cadets attend leadership school
Maj. Jack Bissell, 47th Fighter Squadron, scheduler, fields questions on the capabilities of the A-10 Thunderbolt from Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at Barksdale Air Force base, La., June 18, 2009. The cadets are involved in an eight-day “Summer Leadership School” involving more than 300 JROTC cadets and senior officers. The basic school is designed to encourage each individual cadet’s leadership skills. Each cadet is chosen by unit officials after passing certain criteria. Cadets must also maintain a “C” average in school. Participants, who range from sophomore to seniors, come from high school JROTC units in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
