Fit to Fight: A team effort

Capt. Stephanie Kennedy, 917th Wing, fitness coordinator, calls out lap times to Master Sgt. Susan Thomas, 917th Wing, human relations counselor, as she passes by the finish line during an annual fitness test at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., July 12, 2009. The Air Force Fitness Test is designed to test the body composition, muscular strength/endurance and cardiovascular respiratory fitness of Airmen in the U.S. Air Force. As part of the “Fit to Fight” program, the Air Force adopted a more stringent physical fitness assessment; the new fitness program was established on January 1, 2004, and replaces the annual ergo-cycle test that Air Force used before.
