Barksdale Freedom Riders: Have spatula will travel

Master Sgt. Rickie Adey Sr., 917th Security Forces Squadron, senior air reserve technician, displays superior cookout etiquette at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Shreveport, La., July 4, 2009. Sergeant Adey, who is a member of the Barksdale Freedom Riders, joined more than 50 other motorcyclists from organizations all over the area in support of the hospital the after it became public that a number of Shriners hospitals may be closed due to budget issues. Coincidentally, the following week, the Shriners delegates meeting in San Antonio, Texas, July 6, 2009, voted to keep the Shreveport hospital and five others open. Shriners Hospitals have been helping children beat the odds since 1922. The Shreveport hospital was the first in the Shriners Hospital system. (Courtesy photo)
