Fairchild and Tuskegee Airmen

(Left to right) Atlanta Chapter Tuskegee Airmen--retired Chief Master Sgt. Don Summerlin, and World War II veterans Mr. Hiram Little and retired Master Sgt. Val Archer--converse with Tech. Sgt. Edward Fairchild, 717th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chief. Sergeant Fairchild and the Tuskegee Airmen were part of the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Week at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga. More than 3,000 JROTC and Civil Air Patrol cadets were treated to C-130 orientation flights, aircraft displays and static displays, and interacted with Airmen in various career fields in celebration of the Air Force 60th Anniversary.
