917th Airman builds warriors from ground up
A group of cadets from the TYLER JOINT FORCE Battalion of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps based in Tyler, Texas, take part in an exercise called “Chocolate River” at the East Texas Medical Center’s Behavioral Health Center in Tyler, August 15, 2009. The exercise is used to enhance team building, planning and communication skills between the participants. The cadets spent the entire summer day completing exercises which will enable them to work closer with and trust their fellow cadets. This experience will also benefit those cadets who decide to join the U.S. Military in the future. One of the objectives of the NSCC is to develop an appreciation for our Navy’s history, customs, traditions, and its significant role on national defense. (Courtesy photo)
