917th Airman builds warriors from ground up

Petty Officer Third Class Patrick Bailey climbs a ladder to walk across a pole hanging some twenty feet in the air as his fellow cadets (spotters) secure the ladder and urge him on to success at the East Texas Medical Center/Behavioral Health Center in Tyler, Texas, August 15, 2009. Petty Officer Bailey is a member of the TYLER JOINT FORCE Battalion of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps based in Tyler. The exercise helps participants overcome their fears, build confidence in their personal abilities and trust in the support of others. The cadets spent the entire day completing exercises which will enable them to work closer with and trust their fellow cadets and officers. Petty Officer Bailey is from Tyler, Texas.
