917th Airman builds warriors from ground up
James Whitaker, activities therapy coordinator, East Texas Medical Center/Behavioral Health Center briefs officers from the TYLER JOINT FORCE Battalion of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps about safety precautions for the cadets before commencing a day of exercises at the Behavioral Health Center in Tyler, Texas, August 15, 2009. The exercises are designed to enhance team work and trust between the cadets. They also teach participants planning techniques, how to be aware of their surroundings and the benefits of a support system. The cadets spent the entire day completing exercises which will enable them to work closer with and trust their fellow cadets in the future. These experiences will greatly benefit those cadets who decide to join the U.S. Military in the future.
