Who let the dogs in?

Anya snags the ball during a round of swim-n-fetch with her owner Natasha Hulsey at the North pool on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., during the “Doggy Day’s” swimming event September 8, 2009. The canine-lovers event was organized by Program Manager for Outdoor Recreation, Greg Teeters, who takes care of both pools on the base. Barksdale closed its pools for the season on September 7. With lifeguards going home or on to school, chlorine ceased to flow and water pumps discontinued their work. There was nothing left to do but let the dogs out. More than 30 pups and pooches enjoyed the three hour swimming frenzy at Barksdale with their owners. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
