Who let the dogs in?
Abby keeps her eye on the prize as her owner Natasha Hulsey prepares to throw the ball in another round of swim-n-fetch at the North pool on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., during the “Doggy Day’s” event September 8, 2009. The canine-lovers event was organized by Program Manager for Outdoor Recreation, Greg Teeters, who takes care of both pools on base. Barksdale officials closed the base pools for the season on September 7. With lifeguards going home or on to school, chlorine ceased to flow and water pumps discontinued their work. There was nothing left to do but let the dogs out. More than 30 pups and pooches enjoyed the three hour swimming frenzy at Barksdale with their owners. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
