Who let the dogs in?

Natasha Hulsey rewards her canine companion Abby with hugs and words of praise during a game of swim-n-fetch at the North pool on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., during the “Doggy Day’s” event September 8, 2009. The canine-lovers event was organized by Program Manager for Outdoor Recreation, Greg Teeters, who takes care of both pools on base. The North pool closed for the season on September 7. The lifeguards went home or off to school. Chlorine ceased to pump and water pumps ceased to work. There was nothing left to do but let the dogs out. More than 30 pups and pooches enjoyed the three hour swimming frenzy at Barksdale with their owners. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
