917th PA office retreats to Ouachita National Forest
Lucy, a rare mixed-breed grandmother like dog, and Two, a miniature pincher, face down a raging armadillo in a wilderness laden camp site in the Ouachita National Forest, Sept. 5, 2009. After an hour of playing tag with this particular armadillo from place to place, the chase ended in a fire pit. The armadillo was content in chewing on a paper towel while the canines decided how they would penetrate their armor-plated adversary. The two canines were a part of the 2nd Annual Un-Official 917th Wing Public Affairs Retreat, which is used to relieve stress, boost morale and build a sense of team cohesiveness within the public affairs office. It didn’t seem to work for the dogs. (Photo by Jeff Walston)
