Airman Updates
Chief Master Sgt. Michael Breedlove strikes a pose from Afghanistan, September 15, 2009. Chief Breedlove is deployed on what is described as a “short notice” tour. With only 11 days to prepare and out-process, 917th Wing personnel at Barksdale Air Force base, La., involved in getting Chief Breedlove to where he needed to be, on time and with the required equipment displayed an extraordinary amount of teamwork and professionalism. Chief Breedlove is the Chief of Quality Assurance for an unspecified number of airframes in addition to a recently stood up wing in Afghanistan. According to Chief Breedlove, his job is to ensure there are programs and oversight in place to keep the aircraft flying and aircrews safe. He believes he is “the right guy, in the right place, at the right time to help make this mission and deployment a success.” Chief Breedlove is deployed from the 917th Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, La.
