AFRC Commander visits Barksdale

Col. Edmund Walker, commander, 917th Wing, flashes a grin while Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, Jr., commander, Air Force Reserve Command, gives the thumbs up as he wraps up a successful visit to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., on September 25, 2009. General Stenner traveled to Barksdale for a meeting with Lt. Gen. Frank Klotz, (background) who is commander of the Global Strike Command, now headquartered here. While on base, General Stenner also met with Col. Steven Basham, 2nd Bomb Wing, commander, toured the 47th Fighter Squadron facilities, the 93rd Bomb Squadron headquarters building and Hangar 1, where maintenance is accomplished on B-52 Stratofortresses for the 917th Wing.
