Historical Display Case
Mike Jarrett, 2nd Force Support Squadron, woodcraft manager, removes protective tape from the last section of a memorabilia display case at the 917th Wing Headquarters building at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., September 30, 2009. The display case, which is 24-feet long and 90 inches tall, was built to hold historical items, and those which will one day be historic, from the 917th Wing, 93rd Bomb Squadron and 47th Fighter Squadron for visitors to the 917th Wing to see. Construction on the case started in November 2008, but due to an overwhelming workload, it’s just now being finished and cleaned up for the displaying of items. The first military objects should be on display by next week. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Jeff Walston)
