A small sign in expresses the thankfulness of a neighborhood for those who helped save their homes November 4, 2009. Hundreds of Airmen from Barksdale Air Force Base La., joined together with Soldiers from the 527th Engineers of the Louisiana National Guard and other volunteers on Oct. 31 to sand bag a levee containing the Red Chute Bayou in northern Bossier Parish.
