Influenza immunizations: protecting our Airmen

Senior Airman Latasha Shamp, an aerospace medical technician in the 917th Wing Barksdale Air Force Base, La., receives her influenza immunization at the A-10 Hangar on Barksdale December 5, 2009. Airman Shamp chose the FluMist, an administered intranasal mist used to prevent influenza in persons age two through 49, as opposed to the flu shot also being offered to 917th servicemembers. Being a first responder, Airman Shamp must ensure that she is always protected against illness every day. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman Crystal Jordan)
