Influenza immunizations: protecting our Airmen
Senior Airman Latasha Shamp, an aerospace medical technician in the 917th Wing Barksdale Air Force Base, La., administers an influenza shot to Tech. Sgt. Cartria Carthern, a structural maintenance technician for the 917th Wing in the A-10 Hangar on Barksdale December 5, 2009. Sergeant Carthern chose to be vaccinated by injection as opposed to a FluMist immunization, given by a nasal mist. 917th servicemembers who took advantage of the immunizations that day, had a choice between the two.
