Airman in the Spotlight
Tech. Sgt. Jason Kennedy, a fuels technician for the 917th Logistics Readiness Squadron on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., prepares to fuel up a B-52 Stratofortress by attaching a single point line to the aircraft during his unit training assembly weekend. Sergeant Kennedy, who is originally from Whitehouse, Texas, has spent over 14 years in the Air Force, initially joining for educational opportunities. The technician’s favorite thing about working in the 917th LRS fuels shop is getting the opportunity to see every plane that the United States Air Force has in its inventory. He also works with the person who has influenced his military career the most, Master Sgt. Terry Miller, a fuels manager for the 917th LRS. Sergeant Miller always strives to be the best at his job and he pushes the rest of his shop to do the same, said Sergeant Kennedy. When Sergeant Kennedy isn’t working he enjoys golfing on local courses with his co-workers. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Crystal Jordan)
