917th Wing family participates in Santas in Blues
Staff Sgt. Neal Smothers, a missile analysis element technician for the 2nd Munitions Squadron on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., clears torn paper and trash from an unwrapping site at the Santas in Blues children’s party at the Bossier City Civic Center December 19, 2009. Each of the underprivileged foster children at the event received three gifts purchased with donations from numerous units and organizations, including the 917th Wing on Barksdale. Santas in Blues is designed to allow the Airmen on Barksdale the chance to bring Christmas to foster children in the Caddo, Bossier, Webster and De Soto parishes.
