917th Wing chills on Barksdale

Airman 1st Class Andrew Theis and Airman 1st Class Joseph McCubin, both aircraft structural maintenance technicians for the 917th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., look over an A-10 Thunderbolt II static display in front of the 917th Headquarters here during their first Unit Training Assembly (UTA) weekend Jan. 9, 2010. Being new to the 917th Wing, they braved 13 mph winds and a 15-degree freeze while exploring Barksdale. Parts of Louisiana, including Barksdale, spent most of the weekend in teen-degree temperatures after a hard freeze warning was issued for most of the Southern United States.
