Claiborne contractors get up close and personal
Senior Airman Paul Navarro, an aircrew flight equipment technician in the 917th Operational Support Squadron at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., adjusts the helmet of Brian Crowe, a civilian contractor working out of Claiborne Range as he prepares to simulate a parachute landing during a base tour on Jan. 13, 2010. Claiborne Range, located three hours South of Barksdale, is an air-to-ground gunnery range used by the 47th Fighter Squadron for A-10 Thunderbolt II training. The base tour gave the contractors a chance to see Barksdale’s aircraft and peek into the life and training of pilots. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Senior Airman Crystal Marie Jordan)
