Barksdale welcomes the next generation

The Mk 19 is a belt fed, blowback operated, air cooled, crew serve, fully automatic weapon that fires 40 mm grenades at a cyclic rate if 325 to 375 rounds per minute. Cadet Lanphier is attached to AF JROTC Unit LA-20025 at Acadiana High School in Lafayette, La. Airmen from over 40 Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSC) at Barksdale were represented during the open house to explain career options to the cadets.
