Safety doesn’t end with seasons
Although the 101 Critical Days of Summer have officially ended, Mother Nature seems to be dragging the campaign out just a bit longer. Rod Glass gets in a little extra skiing time on the Red River in the Shreveport/Bossier City, La., area, Sept. 16, 2010. With the end of the summer season rapidly approaching, a group of 917th Wing co-workers decided to hit the river for an after-work, stress-relieving adventure. Summer officially ends Wednesday, September 23, at 3:09a.m., and Airmen at the 917th will soon have to find new ways to relieve stress, while keeping an eye on their fellow wingmen and maintaining the safety frame of mind. The Shreveport/Bossier City area offers numerous safe year round activities, although it may take a quick search to find a specific one to enjoy. There are numerous internet sites that can help all of our Airmen find the fun side of Louisiana. (Courtesy photo by Jeff Walston)
