Czech Republic welcomes a Cold Warrior

Technical Sgt David Johnson and Staff Sgt Dennis Varnado, 917th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron crew chiefs, familiarize themselves with an auxiliary power unit that will be used to apply external power to a 917th Wing B-52H Stratofortress after its arrival at the Leoš Janácek Airport in Ostrava, Czech Republic, on Sept. 15, 2010. This marked the first-time a B-52 bomber has ever visited the Czech Republic. It was flown there to support the 10th Annual NATO Days in Ostrava air show, which is the largest air, army and security show in Central Europe.
