47 FS pilots compete at Hawgsmoke 2010
Capt. Grant McCall, an A-10 pilot assigned to the 47th Fighter Squadron of the 917th Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, La., fires a volley of 30 millimeter rounds at a target on the Saylor Creek Range in Idaho, Oct. 14, 2010, during Hawgsmoke 2010. The competition, which is a biennial worldwide A-10 bombing, missile and tactical gunnery competition, this year involved 40 jets and 72 pilots from 18 different units, and was hosted by the 190th Fighter Squadron of the 124th Fighter Wing, Idaho Air National Guard.
