917 MXS expands with the times
In preparation for planned construction, workers prepare to remove a storage container next to the 917th Maintenance Squadron’s Metals Technology building on Barksdale Air Force Base, La., Oct. 22, 2010. Due to the every changing world of technology and advances in fabrication equipment, the 917th Wing is expanding the present structure by adding additional work space to the first floor and office spaces to the second floor. The shop deals with the fabrication of aircraft parts or air ground equipment for the 917th Wing. The addition of the advanced equipment will give greater capabilities to the shop to accomplish their mission. (U.S. Air Force photo/Betty Stephens)
